Since Facebook Reels (Zuckerberg’s response to TikTok) has long been nothing but AI slop from anonymous engagement-harvesting accounts in undisclosed and unknowable locations, I decided to attempt to remove the Reels icon from the tab bar at the bottom of the Facebook app.
Silly me. There are several tutorials to tell you how to do this, making it look like it is possible, but Reels is not provided as one of the options to hide in the tab customization menu. I guess it makes too much money for the humanoid owner of the platform.
