Resources for Japanese-to-English Translators
For starters, I have uploaded legacy presentations, mostly made at IJET Conferences in various places. The one with most relevance these days is probably the one I gave in 2019 in Cairns, since it deals with the hurdles face by freelancers in breaking away from the agency-work business model and taking a place on tier one of the translation business, from which translation consumers are served.
There will also be installments to the nascent section of translation notes, which will see some content resurrected from other times and some new content made relevant by the drastic changes in the translation world.
Translation Notes
This will appear as a series of bits and pieces of information collected over the years. It might or might not make its way into the form of a larger, more-organized work, but the author hopes that even piecemeal publishing might be of some use to some translators.

IJET Conference Presentations
These are presentations Lise has made at IJET (International Japanese/English Translation) Conferences held by Japan Association of Translators, which have alternated between Japan and overseas venues.
Because they cannot be found on the JAT website, having been lost or deleted, I have preserved these presentations on this website. Along with a now deleted or long-lost scanned copy of the Proceedings from the first IJET Conference, held in Hakone in 1990, also not available on the JAT website, is also linked to below.
