Content for Language Practitioners RemovedFutile advice is no more.

All recently created and recently uploaded content directed at colleague translators has been removed from this site. The reasons:

It was of no use or value to clients.
It was no use or value to us.
It clearly "invalidated the experiences" of the vast majority of translators who have made their peace with working as second-tier translation providers for the rest of their careers.
It could not even reasonably have been applied by any more than a tiny handful of translators who have not made their peace with working on the second tier, mostly because of their individual situations and choices they have already made, some of those choices having nothing to do with translation.

We were recently considering rescinding the above decision and adopting a new format and scope of content of potential use to language-practitioner colleagues, and we had actually written some of that content. Ultimately, however, we decided that it would not be realistic, for the reasons noted above. End of story.
