Getting from Tier Two to Tier One in Japanese-to-English Translation

My 2019 presentation at IJET-30 in Cairns, the last IJET Conference before the Covid-19 pandemic struck and put a stop to such in-person events.
Although Kirameki does not use AI, with many translation brokers migrating to an MTPE business model, in which they order only post-editing for translations they do in-house using MT, the advice in this presentation takes on new importance. At the time of the Conference in Cairns, the presenter did not have a clue that this would happen so quickly.
