Getting from Tier Two to Tier One
in Japanese-to-English Translation
When I gave this presentation in Cairns (AU) in 2019, I was not aware that its relevance would increase significantly with the increased use of AI by the traditional agency work sources for freelance translators. The realization that very few freelancers can make use of the advice in this presentation arguably takes the shine off this presentation, but I preserved it here as documentation of what might have been, but now certainly never will be for the overwhelming majority of freelancers.
