{"id":475,"date":"2025-03-24T23:51:22","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T14:51:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kirameki-translation.co.jp\/wordpress\/?p=475"},"modified":"2025-11-03T15:44:31","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T06:44:31","slug":"the-demise-of-authenticity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kirameki-translation.co.jp\/wordpress\/?p=475","title":{"rendered":"The Demise of Authenticity"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is authenticity no longer a &#8220;thing?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I encountered a conversation on LinkedIn yesterday where the original post was clearly written in ChatGPTese or a dialect thereof, and every single comment was responded to in the same ChatGPTese.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I asked whether the original post and the responses to numerous apparently human-created comments were being written by a carbon-based entity or something else, I received a quick response, also in ChatGPTese. It didn&#8217;t at all read like there was a human behind it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authenticity is becoming rare, both on LinkedIn and on other social media platforms. The only input needed from a carbon-based participant is a prompt to a silicon-based assistant, then you just post the result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Who could tell the difference?
